DESCRIPTION:

       

 

             Ceahlau Mountain, also known as the Olympus of Romania, is a natural wonderland surrounded by watercourses and dam lakes. The park boasts an impressive collection of flora, with over 2,000 different flower species and a variety of wildlife. Among the park's many attractions are fossil limestone formations, the Dochia and Cusma Dorobantului rock formations, and the breathtaking Duruitoarea waterfall. To the east, the park is bordered by the Bistrita River and Lake Bicaz, while to the south, it is bounded by the Bicaz River.

         DON'T FORGET:

• ​It is a medium difficulty hike due to the length and duration of the route, but it does not raise technical issues.  However, participants must have a good physical condition and have minimal experience on the mountain.

• Mandatory equipment: waterproof hiking boots,waterproof jacket+ backpack rain cover, warm clothes depending on season, backpack,sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen with high SPF, water bottles,headlight,batteries,charger/ portable power bank,first-aid kit, energy bars / snacks /food, and optional hiking sticks. If you do not have your own equipment, we can rent the equipment for the hiking.
