DESCRIPTION:

     The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga Delta, and is the best preserved on the continent. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991 and a Biosphere Reserve, it’s one of Romania’s most spectacular attractions with over 350 species of birds, 45 freshwater fish species, and many lakes and marshes. Is the last place in Europe with wild horses, a paradise for wild birds, 60% of the world Pelicans found a place in this Delta.

This is the ideal place to get away from it all for a few days and truly appreciate nature.

DAY 1

​

1. Enisala citadel - was built between the 13th and 14th centuries by the Byzantine Empire in cooperation with the Genoves traders operating on the Black Sea.

2. Tulcea - Similar to the city of Rome, the town of Tulcea was built on seven hills and has served as an important harbor since ancient times.

DAY 2

​

3. Full day trip with a small boat on the channels and lakes of the Delta.

*Traditional lunch (included in the price)- fish borscht or fried fish with polenta and garlic paste.

4. Letea Forest - is the oldest natural reservation in Romania. Over 2000 feral horses are running free in the Letea nature reserve.
