      The historic region of Moldova spreads over the eastern part of Romania. The region is an amazing mixture of picturesque landscapes, historic strongholds and traditional artistry. Here you can find century-old churches and monasteries, museums, old fortresses and natural parks, perfect for hiking, trekking or watching wildlife.

DAY 1

​

1. Iasi - Is the most important political, economic and cultural centre of the province of Moldavia as well as one of the oldest cities in Romania. 

2. Cuza Palace from Ruginoasa - Constructed in 1811, this edifice was initially utilized as a residence and served as the location for the ruler's throne establishment in Iasi for an extended period. Despite being located in a charming village roughly 60 km away from Iasi, it has retained its significance as a historical monument

3. Neamt Fortress - One of the most famous Middle Age Romanian citadels.

4. Agapia - The monastery is famous around the world due to its interior frescoes painted in 1858 by the great Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu (the most famous Romanian painter).

5. Bison Land - Vanatori Neamt Nature Park is the only place in Europe where the bison can be seen freely, through the forests of Bison Land and the surrounding area.

6. Neamt Monastery - The monastery is the oldest monastic settlement in Moldova, with roots that go back to the 14th century, during the time of Peter I Musat (1375-1391).

7. Miclauseni Castle - This is a Neo-Gothic castle with baroque elements built between 1880 and 1904.

8. Piatra Neamț - known for its rich history and ancient artifacts dating back to the Paleolithic era. The city features a variety of architectural wonders such as castles, forts, churches, and monasteries.

9. Bicaz Lake - The largest artificial lake in Romania, also known as Lake Izvorul Muntelui (Mountain Spring), is a popular tourist destination, particularly during the summer months.

10. Bicaz gorges and Red lake 

Bicaz gorges Are about 7km long with walls 300m high. The gorge has the local name of Cheile Bicazului. This scenic drive is spectacular with sheer cliffs rising literally from the edges of the road.

Red Lake - The largest natural mountain lake in Romania, is one of the most picturesque and „wild” lakes of the country.
