        Rodnei Mountains National Park, the second-largest national park in Romania, preserves the wildest landscapes of the Carpathians and is an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers seeking solitude and off-the-beaten-path routes.

• DAY 1

Route: Borsa Touristic Complex -> Gargalau saddle -> Gargalau Peak (2.158 m) -> Stiol lake -> Horses Waterfall -> Borsa Touristic Complex

1. Borsa Touristic Complex (chairlift)-(852 m) -> Stiol Meadow –> Gărgălău saddle (1.907 m)

2. Gargalau saddle(1.907 m)-> Gargalau Peak (2.158 m)-> Gargalau saddle(1.907 m)

3. Gargalau saddle -> Stiol lake -> Stiol Meadow -> Horses Waterfall

4. Horses Waterfall -> Borsa Touristic Complex (852 m)

• DAY 2

 Route: Pietroasa Monastery (970 m) –> Iezer meteo station (1760 m) – > Iezer lake (1850 m) –>Pietrosul peak (2303 m) and return

 

1. Pietroasa Monastery (970 m) –> Iezer meteo station (1760 m) - 2 h

2. Iezer meteo station (1760 m) -> Iezer lake (1850 m) - 10 minutes

3. Iezer lake (1850m) -> Parul de Fier (aprox 2100 m) - 1.40 minutes

4. Parul de Fier (aprox 2100 m) -> Pietrosul Rodnei peak (2.303 m) – 20 minutes

• return on the same way: Pietrosul Rodnei peak(2.303 m) ->  Pietroasa Monastery (970 m) - 3 h

 Route: Rotunda Pass (1271) –> Gagiu saddle (1.766 m) –> Ineut peak (2222 m) –> Ineu peak (2279 m) –> Lala Mare lake –> Gagiu saddle –> Rotunda Pass

1. Rotunda Pass (1271) –> Gagiu saddle (1.766 m) - 2h 30 min, 8.4 km

2. Gagiu saddle (1.766m) -> Ineut peak (2222 m) - 1h 45 min, 1.6 km

3. Ineut peak (2222 m) -> Ineu peak 2279 m - 1h, 1.5 km

4. Ineu peak 2279 m -> Lala Mica lake –> Lala Mare lake –> Gagiu saddle - 1h 30 min, 3.5 km

5. Gagiu saddle -Rotunda Pass - 2h 20 min, 8.4 km

         DON'T FORGET:

• These are medium to difficult trails due to the length and duration of the route, but it does not raise technical issues.  However, participants must have a good physical condition and have minimal experience on the mountain.

• Mandatory equipment: waterproof hiking boots,waterproof jacket+ backpack rain cover, warm clothes depending on season, backpack,sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen with high SPF, water bottles,headlight,batteries,charger/ portable power bank,first-aid kit, energy bars / snacks /food, and hiking sticks(optional). If you do not have your own equipment, we can rent the equipment for the hike.

• To secure your booking, a deposit of 50 euro/person is required.For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days in advance of the start date of the experience.
