    Transylvania is undoubtedly Romania's hidden gem: a rich cultural, geographic and historic region with many must-see attractions, some of the best in Romania. Explore the diversity of Transylvania in  a 6-day tour.

     Our tour focus on:

DAY 1 - 299 km

1. Visit the Moorish Monastery of Curtea de Argeș - Constructed during the reign of Neagoe Basarab (1512 - 1517), ruler of Wallachia (a historical and geographical region of Romania), the monastery is a valuable gem for enthusiasts of historical landmarks.

2. *** Transfagarasan Highway - "The best road in the world"

3. The city of Sibiu it was the biggest medieval town of Transylvania and today is one of the most popular tourist sights.

DAY 2 - 199 km

4. The Alba Iulia citadel - including the Baroque gates, the Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Union Museum, and the Union Hall, plus the ancient ruins and medieval fortifications.

5. Geoagiu Bai -  is a city located in Hunedoara county known for its numerous popular tourist destinations, such as the Clocota Waterfalls and Germisara Roman Thermal Bath. These attractions make Geoagiu-Bai a worthwhile destination to explore.

6. Corvin Castle (Castelul Corvinilor) - also known as Hunyadi Castle, it is one of the largest castles in Europe, and an important piece of history for Romania.

7. Deva Fortress - One of the strongest fortresses in Romania, Deva Fortress was constructed on a volcanic hill with an elevation of 378 meters in the mid-13th century.

OPTIONAL: *Sarmisegetuza Ulpia Traiana - was the previous capital of Roman Dacia.

DAY 3 - 248 km

8. Rosia Montana - Situated in the Metalliferous Mountains, this location possibly holds the most substantial gold and silver reserves in Europe. Its underground abundance of valuable minerals has been recognized since ancient times, when the miners of the Roman Empire extracted roughly 500 tons of gold.

9. Scarisoara Cave - Scarisoara Cave is one of the largest ice caves in Romania and it holds the world’s second-largest glacier. Declared a natural monument and a speleological reservation, the cave is 750 m long, but only 250 m of it may be visited.

10. Cluj - The city earned the title of “Capital of Transylvania”, because of the dynamism with which it has grown to become today the most important academic, medical, business & IT, cultural, sports and scientific center in Transylvania. 

DAY 4 - 209 km

11. Salina Turda is one of the most spectacular tourist destinations revealing Romania’s underground wonders. In Romania is now one of the most popular underground tourist attraction.

12. Targu Mures - known as the city of roses,is a melting pot of Romanian and Hungarian cultures, featuring remains of the Neolithic, Bronze, and Metal Ages.

13. Sighisoara - this stunning architectural wonder is a medieval Romanian historical site that has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its exceptional representation of the Transylvanian Saxon culture.

DAY 5 - 165 km

14. Saxon Village and fortied church of  Viscri - Is a Saxon village from Transylvania, founded by the medieval German colonists who settled in the region to defend the borders in exchange for rights and liberties.

15. Rupea fortress - Although the fortress was constructed on a hill during the 14th century, evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Paleolithic and Early Neolithic periods, making it one of the oldest archaeological sites in the country. It is believed that the current fortress was built on the remains of the former Dak fort, which had been conquered by the Romans.

16. Feldioara Fortress - Is considered the oldest fortification in medieval Transylvania.

17. Brasov - located at the very heart of Romania, Brasov is perhaps the country’s most well-known destination.

DAY 6 - 139 km

18. Bran Castle - also called Dracula`s Castle, the castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker.

19. Rasnov Fortress - the fortress was built by Teutonic Knights as protection against invading Tartars and was later enlarged by the local Saxon population.

20. Peles Castle - Built in the 19th century according to the specifications of Carol I, Romania's first King,is one of the most famous castles in Romania.
